If your car is towed
In short: call your property office first. Towing decisions belong to your property and its licensed towing company. Laneo provides the parking software, so we can’t release cars or cancel tows, but we can help you check your permit and get a record of it.
What to do, step by step
- Make sure it was towed Look for the towing sign at the entrance to the garage or lot. It lists the towing company and how to reach them.
- Call your property office They work with the towing company and can tell you what happened and what to do next.
- Check your permit in the app Log in and make sure your plate shows an active permit and is spelled right. For a guest, check when their pass ended.
- Contact the towing company They’ll tell you where your car is, what you need to bring and what it costs to get it back.
- Tell us about app problems If your permit, plate or guest pass looks wrong in the app, contact Laneo support and we’ll look into it.

If you think the tow was wrong
Start with your property office. They can check their records and talk to their towing company. If you still disagree, Texas law lets you ask for a tow hearing at the justice court in the county where your car was towed. There’s a short deadline, so ask soon. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation also has information about your rights when a car is towed.
Laneo can send you a record of your permit or guest pass to use in your conversation with the property, or at a hearing.
